4.2. How recipients see your Card

How recipients see your Card

When you share your azzapp Card, the experience depends on whether the recipient is using azzapp or not.

Internal sharing: Sharing your azzapp Card with other azzapp users

When your Card is shared with another azzapp user (via QR code or link):

  • The Card opens directly inside the app

  • The recipient sees a sharing screen with a preview of your Card

  • They can:

  • - Choose which of their own Cards to use for the exchange (if they have multiple)

  • - Choose to send their own contact details back via ShareBack

  • - Decide whether to save your contact to their phone’s contact book or only to azzapp Contacts

Once confirmed:

  • A new contact is created in their contact list

  • The interaction includes time and location context, helping remember where and when the meeting took place

  • If your Card includes Advanced Design (Cover and sections), the recipient is taken to the full view of your Card (mini-website experience).

  • And if your Card does not include Advanced Design, the sharing flow ends and the recipient returns to the screen they were using before.

External sharing: Sharing your azzapp Card with people without the azzapp app

When your Card is shared with someone who does not use azzapp (via QR code or link), the Card opens in the recipient’s web browser, where it is displayed as:

  • A mini-website, if Advanced Design is used, or

  • A clean Card layout, if not

The recipient can:

  • Save your contact by downloading it as a VCF file

  • Share their own contact details via a browser-based ShareBack form.

The ShareBack may include location data, based on the browser’s location information, so that the Card owner can see where the contact was shared from.
