8.3. Salesforce

Salesforce integration allows you to synchronize your azzapp contacts with your Salesforce CRM account.

Installing the azzapp Salesforce Package

Before connecting Salesforce to azzapp, you must install the azzapp Salesforce package.

To install the package:

  1. Open the Salesforce package installation page:
    https://login.salesforce.com/packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04tgK000000CqZ7QAK

  2. Sign in to your Salesforce account.

  3. Follow the Salesforce installation process and approve the requested permissions.

  4. Wait for the installation to complete.

If you do not yet have a Salesforce account, you can create one before proceeding with the installation.

The azzapp package automatically creates the custom Salesforce Contact fields used to store azzapp contact information.

Connecting Salesforce

Once the package has been installed:

  1. Log into your azzapp account on the WebApp.

  2. Open the Integrations tab from the sidebar menu.

  3. Click Add Integration.

  4. Select Salesforce and click Connect.

  5. Sign in to your Salesforce account.

  6. If Salesforce displays an authorization request, review the requested permissions and approve the connection.

  7. Once the authorization is complete, you will be redirected back to the azzapp WebApp.

The Salesforce connection will now appear in the Integrations tab.

Synchronizing Contacts

After the connection has been established, you can choose between Manual Sync and Automatic Sync.

Manual Sync

With Manual Sync enabled, contacts are synchronized only when you click Sync Now.

To synchronize your contacts:

  1. Open the Integrations tab.

  2. Locate the Salesforce integration.

  3. Click Sync Now.

This synchronizes all contacts from your azzapp contact list with Salesforce.

Any future changes made to contacts in azzapp will not be synchronized until you perform another manual sync.

Automatic Sync

With Automatic Sync enabled, azzapp automatically synchronizes contacts whenever a contact is added or updated.

To enable Automatic Sync:

  1. Open the Integrations tab.

  2. Locate the Salesforce integration.

  3. Enable the Auto Sync toggle.

When Automatic Sync is activated, azzapp immediately performs a synchronization of all existing contacts.

After that, new contacts and contact updates are synchronized automatically.

Viewing azzapp Contact Data in Salesforce

After synchronization, your contacts will appear in the Salesforce Contact list.

During the package installation, azzapp automatically creates dedicated custom fields on the Salesforce Contact object used to store azzapp contact information.

To display these fields on the Salesforce Contact page:

  1. Open Setup.

  2. Navigate to Object Manager.

  3. Select Contact.

  4. Open Page Layouts.

  5. Select the layout you want to edit.

  6. Locate the azzapp fields in the field list.

  7. Drag and drop the required azzapp fields into the Contact Information section of the layout.

  8. Click Save.

You can add as many azzapp fields as required to match your preferred Salesforce contact layout.

Examples of azzapp fields include:

  • azzapp meeting date;

  • azzapp notes;

  • azzapp tags;

  • azzapp additional phone numbers;

  • other azzapp contact fields.

Managing the Connection

The Integrations screen displays:

  • the connection status;

  • the date and time of the last synchronization;

  • synchronization controls.

You can disconnect the Salesforce integration at any time and reconnect it later if required.

Notes
  • Salesforce synchronization is one-way, from azzapp to Salesforce.

  • Changes made directly in Salesforce are not synchronized back to azzapp.

  • Contact updates are synchronized to existing Salesforce contacts rather than creating a new contact for every change.

  • If Manual Sync is enabled, you must click Sync Now whenever you want to synchronize changes made in azzapp.

  • Salesforce may apply its own duplicate-detection rules depending on your Salesforce configuration.
