9.4. Website Teams

Website Teams

Website Teams allows the Website Owner to invite other people to collaboratively edit and manage a Website.

Website Teams are separate from Card Teams. Being a member of a Card Team does not automatically provide access to a Website, and Website members must be invited separately.

9.4.1 Roles and permissions

Each Website has an Owner, while invited members can be assigned a role as an Admin or an Editor:

Owner

  • Has full control over the Website

  • Can edit and manage the Website

  • Can manage Website Team members

  • Can delete the Website

  • Cannot be removed or downgraded by other members

Admin

  • Can edit and manage all aspects of the Website

  • Can access Team settings

  • Can invite and manage other Team members

  • Cannot delete the Website

  • Cannot remove or downgrade the Owner

Editor

  • Can edit and manage Website content

  • Does not have access to Team settings

  • Cannot invite or manage Team members

  • Cannot delete the Website

9.4.2 Managing your Website Team

Website Owners and Admins can invite members, assign roles, edit member details, and manage access to the Website.

9.4.2.1 Adding members

You can invite members to your Website Team from both the mobile app and the web platform.

Mobile app

To add a member:

  • Open Home → Website

  • Tap the Team icon under the Website thumbnail

  • Tap Add members

  • Complete the Add member form

The form includes:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address or phone number

  • Role

You can enter the details manually or use the Phone contacts option to select details from an existing contact.

When inviting someone who already has an azzapp account, use the email address or phone number associated with their account.

Select the appropriate role:

  • Admin — can edit and manage the Website and manage Team members

  • Editor — can edit and manage the Website, but cannot access Team settings

Once ready, tap Save.

The member receives an invitation by:

  • Email, if invited using an email address, or

  • SMS, if invited using a phone number

If the member already uses azzapp, the invitation also appears in azzapp on the Website screen.

Once the invitation is accepted, the Website becomes available in the member’s account and they can access it according to their assigned role.

Web platform — add a single member

  • Open your Website

  • Select Team from the sidebar

  • Click Add a member

  • Enter the member’s details and select their role

  • Send the invitation

The invitation and acceptance process works in the same way as on mobile.

Web platform — add multiple members

You can also invite multiple members at once using a CSV/Excel file.

1. Download the template

  • Open the Team screen

  • Select Add a list of members

  • Click Download a model

2. Complete the file

Open the template in Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets, or another compatible application.

Do not change the column names in the first row, as azzapp uses them to identify the imported information.

Enter the member information:

  • First name — optional

  • Last name — optional

  • Email — optional*

  • Phone — optional*

  • Role (Admin or Editor) — optional

*Each member must have either an email address or a phone number so that the invitation can be sent.

If both an email address and a phone number are provided for the same member, the invitation is sent by email.

If the Role field is left blank, the member is assigned the Editor role by default.

3. Upload the file

  • Save the completed file

  • Return to azzapp

  • Click Select a file

  • Upload the completed file

  • Click Send invitation

If azzapp detects formatting issues, you will see an error notification. You can correct the file and upload it again, or proceed and review the imported members afterward.

Members without valid invitation details will not be added.

9.4.2.2 Member details and roles

Owners and Admins can manage individual Website Team members.

Mobile app

  • Open Home → Website

  • Tap the Team icon under the Website thumbnail

  • Select the member you want to manage

From the Member details screen, you can:

  • Change their first name

  • Change their last name

  • Change their avatar

  • Change their role

  • Remove the member

Web platform

  • Open the Website

  • Select Team from the sidebar

  • Select the member you want to manage

The same core member-management options are available.

Role restrictions

Roles can be changed after a member has been invited, but some restrictions apply:

  • The Owner cannot be removed or downgraded by other members

  • An Admin cannot downgrade their own role

  • Editors cannot access Team management

The Owner retains ultimate control over the Website and its Team.

9.4.2.3 Removing and re-inviting members

Owners and Admins can remove members who should no longer have access to the Website editor.

When a member is removed:

  • They lose access to the Website

  • They can no longer access the Website Builder on mobile or web

  • The Website and its existing content remain unchanged

Re-invite a removed member

On the web platform:

  • Open the Team screen

  • Enable Show removed users

  • Select one or more removed members

  • Click Send invite

The selected members receive a new invitation and can regain access to the Website after accepting it.

Batch management on Web

The web platform also allows you to manage multiple members at once:

  • Select multiple members using their checkboxes

  • Apply the available Team actions to the selected members

This is particularly useful when managing larger Website Teams.
